I’m currently in Las Vegas at the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) conference and trade show. Today myself and some of my photographer friends are attending the Business Institute which is turning out to be even more interesting and helpful than I had originally thought it would be.

So many amazing, talented photographers in one place. You can feel the creative energy in the room.

I am very excited to take all this information home with me and see how I can use it to help my clients. So many great ideas, I don’t know where to start!!

My next Photography Workshop will be held on Thursday, March 25th and Thursday, April 1st.

As before, the class will consist of two sessions, one week apart.  The first session will cover several key topics including composition, lighting, and obtaining an optimal exposure.  You’ll learn tips that you can use with any camera, whether it be a professional camera or a small point-n-shoot.  Then I’ll send you off to photograph your kids for the week.  The second session will be a sharing and critique session where we’ll review and discuss the photos you’ve taken during the week.  You’ll need to bring a CD with your best 5 images in JPG format.

The classes will be held at my studio in Brentwood:  11727 Barrington Court, Suite 208 (next to Maria’s Kitchen and the Brentwood Village Market).  I’m located just South of Sunset Boulevard and West of the 405 freeway.  (Click here for map).

Refreshments and sweets from Vanilla Bake Shop will be served so please leave room for dessert!

The fee is $75 per person and participants will also receive a gift certificate good for $100 off your next print order.

I had the pleasure of photographing the adorable Molly over the weekend. She was so full of energy and it was hard keeping up with her, let alone getting a photograph of her standing still.  After a very long hike, she finally took a rest in the shade and I was able to get some good stuff.  It helped that the location was amazing.  Here are a couple photos from our shoot.

I’m so excited I can hardly contain myself.  I just scheduled a Pet Photo Promotion with Pet Joy pet boutique in Brentwood. This beautiful shop not only offers pet grooming, but lovely products for all your animal needs.  They are located in Brentwood Village, right next door to my studio.

I ADORE animals (as exhibited by the three dogs and one fish that we have in our home) so I cannot wait to take these photos.

It was a crazy Holiday season as usual, but I did get a lot of great photos.  I caught up with clients I’ve known for years as well as met some new, wonderful families.  Now that the dust of the Holidays has settled, I wanted to share some of the photos.  Enjoy!
